Wonder Worlds

?
Creation has sometimes to pass through destruction.
Sometimes you don't know what you want and you need to get rid of everything you have to know yourself.
Start over, start afresh. Reset button.
Weren't you satisfied with the life you had before? Now that it's gone, are you happy?
Who are you?
Who am I?
Where am I going?
Everyone ask themselves once these questions.
But it's hard to find the answers. The right answers.
The world is so full of possibilities. We now have to much choices. Too many people to meet. Too many place to discover. Too many things to do.
What do I want?
What do I need?
I have values and principles. I try to follow them. But sometimes, I lose myself. And I love to forget... You need to forget to move on. But do you really want to?
People are so complex, so full of contradictions. One day you think something, the next something else. It's the essence of human kind to change opinions. Hopefully we do. Otherwise we wouldn't evolve. But sometimes, the easiest would be to stick to a thought.
NEVERMIND

Culture shock
I like to consider myself as open-minded and tolerant (even though this lattest word implies bad connotation, you can see what I mean by using it). But when I arrived to England to finish my Communication degree, I was stricken by many socio-cultural differences. Before coming here, I never thought I could feel culture shock since France and England are so close countries.
First of all, English people are difficult to meet with. If you need something, they will definitely help you out. But if you want to be friends with them, it's another story. You can talk to them to a party or at some place, and the next day, they don't even notice you. For instance, in my class, we are four international students who join the second year level. And no one, not a single one of them, greeted us the first new day of school. They are Communication students though. And they all already knew every one in the class, except us. None of us went to see the four new students that we are. None of them invited us to a party with them.
May be they are not interested in us. They also perhaps don't need to meet new people, but young persons are known to like discovering new cultures.
So what kind of hospitality is that? How come they don't give a fuck about us? How come don't they want to meet new people?
With all the international students I met since I got to England, we talked a lot about this strange behaviour. We all agreed that when an international student come to our uni, we go see them, trying to make friends with them, showing them the way around, etc.
In England, people seem to be good the way they are. They live on their island and they're good with their culture. Full point.
Another 'weird' thing is that, here in England, you do need to provide an ID when buying knives or lighters. As if being over 18 will prevent you from doing something bad. This is so strange.
I also tend to have the impression that they are not really aware that what is going on in the world. This applies to young people. I don't think it's the same issue with adults, who must read newspapers and watch the news. Like a lot of American people, they don't seek information. They just do their own lives and that's it.
I don't have any other stricking differences crossing my mind right now, but I'm sure I will have some later on.
I feel English people are shy. When you're introduced to someone they don't ask questions. They just don't care. They are satisfied.
They also never complained. This was kind of a shock for me, since I come from France, where I'm used to demonstrations and strikes all the time. In my country, people are never happy. They don't like their job, don't like their life, they complain all the time, they have opinions on every little thing. Some philosophers say that desire is never reached. When you have something that you wanted, you turn to another will. You always desire new things. You never feel content.
Frédéric Beigbeder said "L'homme est un animal insatisfait qui hésite entre plusieurs frustrations" (literaly: man is an unsatisfied animal which hesitates over several frustrations)
And the worst thing is that, even though they are dressed as slut, they are always wearing too much make up, and they are drunk so quickly! They wear big hills and they cannot even walk properly with it! I wonder what they think of themselves.. No dignity.. It really is a shame... But it's another culture so I shouldn't judge!

To begin with...
"Chacun de nous a sa manière d'aimer et de haïr, et cet amour, cette haine reflètent sa personnalité tout entière. (...) Nous échouons à traduire entièrement ce que notre âme ressent : la pensée demeure incommensurable avec le langage."
Bergson - Les données immédiates de la conscience.
"Behind each language is a culture, the expressive richness of a living tongue and its infinite capacity to reflect a distinct mode of thought. So, when a language dies, it truly diminishes the capacity of our world to think, to know, to be and to do differently - to be truly other than the dominant culture."
Why do People Hate America
In a nutshell, language shapes reason.
So when I will say things that you don't understand, don't forget that each and everyone of us has different conceptions of every single words.
Language is the fondation of our social life. This is the channel through wich communication occurs. That's perhaps why there is so many conflicts happening all the time in every part of the world. That is why you are and will be alone all your life, because no one, no one, can truly understand you.
